Already a few weeks into this Enrichment session, students are having fun while learning new skills. Take a look at the photos below to get a sneak peek into what the classes looks like each week!

Pictured here is one student very focused on the task at hand which is building his team’s robot! Students follow a step-by-step manual with the help of their teammates and instructor.

This Robotics group has moved past the building stage and is well into the programming stage! Here, they have programmed their robot to detect objects that are black. If a black object is placed in front of the robot, the robot will move forward. If this object is taken away, the robot will remain in place.

Here, students in Drama are participating in their weekly warm-up activities led by their instructor, Cristy Chory. Ms. Chory says creative and funny phrases, sometimes accompanied with hand or body gestures, and the students need to mimic her voice and actions.

From the start of class to the end of class, the students are consistently enthralled with Minecraft. Throughout the class you can hear students commenting to other students about what is going on in their “world” and you can find them helping each other. The passion and excitement is definitely felt when you enter the classroom!
