On March 13th, the students participated in a fun-filled day of cooking with one of our ESF team members, Miss Ebony! Miss Ebony has culinary experience and brought her knowledge and expertise to teach the students how to make various foods.
Here, students are getting prepared to make their very own homemade lollipops!
Cookie decorating was another highlight of the day! Students could tap in to their creative sides and create their ideal cookie.
Students also had the unique opportunity to observe how to make edible cookie dough from scratch! Some chose to roll the dough into a ball while others experimented with creating shapes of their choice.
In between cooking class and recreational time, our older students participated in various activities that included trivia and Indian Chief (also known as “The Rhythm Game.”)
We want to thank Miss Ebony for all her hard work and the preparation that went into making this day a success! We had terrific student feedback as well.
Parents, feel free to ask your child to show off their newfound skills and cooking knowledge at home!
