Getting Ready for Your First Day

Welcome CENTER OFFICE

The CGI Welcome Center will be located inside the Middle School Building in the Study Hall and will be open Monday-Friday from 8:00am – 4:00pm.

Parents and students are encouraged to stop in the week before your course/program begins to meet CGI Directors and prepare for your first day. We will have weekly Orientation Sessions in the Middle School Study Hall starting after June 9th on the following days:

  • Tuesday’s 10:00am-11:00am
  • Thursday’s 4:00pm-5:00pm

Orientation is encouraged so your first day goes as smoothly as possible.

SPECIAL NOTE: Welcome Packets are being mailed to all families who enrolled prior to May 30th and have submitted all required materials and balances are up to date. Please call us at 610-581-7100 to update your account and take care of any outstanding items. For students enrolled after May 31st we ask that you attend one of our Orientation Sessions at EA (see schedule above) prior to your first day.

WHAT TO WEAR:*

Dress for fun, comfort, and safety! We recommend to wear the following:

Pre-K-8th Grades

  • T-shirt/Polo
  • Shorts
  • Hat
  • Sneakers and socks (please do not wear open-toed shoes)

9th-12th Grades

  • T-shirt/Polo
  • Shorts
  • Closed-Toed Shoes

*Shirts and shorts must be of appropriate length, no inappropriate language or images will be permitted on any clothing.


WHAT TO BRING

  • Your program/class my require you to bring specific supplies, please check your Course Finder
  • Backpack or Tote Bag
  • Water Bottle
  • Lunch & Drink (Unless you are enrolled in a half day program or are using our optional Lunch Program)
  • Sunscreen

WHAT NOT TO BRING

  • Electronic Games
  • Chewing Gum
  • Camera
  • Cell Phones or PDA’s (unless a course requirement) are not allowed to be used in class

STUDENT IDENTIFICATION

  • All CGI participants must wear their identification badge (provided on your first day) in a visible
  • location while on campus.
  • Only students in grades 9-12 may move independently on campus to and from their class/program. These students must sign out if they are leaving a classroom to use the restroom. All students in grades 8 and below will be accompanied by a staff member while on campus.

LUNCH

If you are staying for a full day program:

  • Optional lunch: We offer an optional Lunch Program for an additional cost. Please see menu
  • for details. Call the Camp Office if you would like to sign-up.
  • Bringing lunch from home: All lunches are refrigerated. We recommend that lunches brought from home include a drink and are packed in a brown bag or soft insulated bag with your name and CGI clearly marked.

SNACK

We provide a snack and beverage each day and during afternoon extended day programs.


VISITING CAMPUS

Feel free to visit us at any time. Make sure to stop at the Welcome Center with your ID to obtain a Visitor’s Pass.
