SATURDAY TENNIS CLINICS
The Episcopal Academy Lower School Enrichment Program is excited to announce a new enrichment offering! Saturday Tennis Clinics are being offered in a four week session from the end of May, into early June. This program will be led by ESF’s Developmental Tennis Coach and Episcopal Academy’s Junior Varsity Tennis Coach, Mike Whalen. Program is overseen by ESF’s Director of Tennis and Episcopal Academy’s Varsity Tennis Coach, Whit Powell.
Dates: May 16, May 23, June 6, June 13
Times: 1 hour time slots to choose from. Please note: campers may sign up for one 1 hour time slot per 4 week session.
- 9:00 am – 10:00 am (Ages 5-8)
- 10:00 am – 11:00 am (Ages 7-10)
- 11:00 am – 12:00 pm (Ages 5-8)
About the coach: MIKE WHALEN, Developmental Coach
We are proud to announce the addition of Mike Whalen to the Tennis Staff this summer as our Developmental Coach. Mike is an Episcopal Academy graduate, where he was a varsity tennis player. He attended the College of William and Mary and currently coaches the Junior Varsity Tennis Team at Episcopal Academy. Mike served as the Head Tennis Pro at Camp Susquehannock, resulting in many years of extensive experience coaching and working with campers, ages 5-12. Mike’s expert knowledge in the foundations of the game will give our campers the edge they need to develop skills in grip, footwork, ball contact, and more. He is known best for creating an energetic camp atmosphere by blending the perfect balance of hard work and fun games and activities. Welcome to the team, Mike!
